Why is "Arts Education" Important?

A strong arts education promotes the skills children need to be successful. Exposure to art education promotes self-directed learning, improves school attendance and sharpens critical and creative skills. In fact, several recent studies have concluded that the creativity and innovation utilized in the artistic process will be highly valued by employers in the United States in the coming years as we continue to shift into a global economy.

Teachers are the first to point out how creative arts programs have strongly influenced their students' self-image and increased their academic success in the areas of math, science and the language arts. But sadly, during these difficult economic times, arts programs are the first to be sacrificed. In addition, in many schools where classroom space is limited, art "studios" are now only contained in a cart that is wheeled by teachers from room to room, severely limiting the arts education students receive.

Many community organizations support the arts, but none more so than the The Children's Trust, our partner in supporting this art exhibit. The Children's Trust realizes the importance of designing and maintaining arts education programs which are culturally enriching, stimulate creative expression, build self-esteem and improve academic achievement. In addition to the more than $1 million in arts programs directly funded by The Children's Trust, a $1 million grant to the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs funded 68 community arts programs in 2007.

For 17 years, Ocean Bank's support of The Education Fund's Ocean Bank Center of Educational Materials has leveraged more than $5.8 million in donated art and school supplies, benefiting more than 525,000 students. Ocean Bank's commitment includes a belief that we must foster the creativity and imagination of our children and that the arts play a vital role in that development.

To ensure support for visual arts in the schools, Ocean Bank sponsors both this exhibition and The Education Fund's Art of Found Objects Charity Auction, which raises thousands of dollars for visual arts programs in our public schools.

In a community as diverse as ours, the arts serve as an essential bridge across language and cultural differences. They become the shared link, the glue that shapes our understanding of how we see ourselves and each other. In giving children the materials and the freedom to create through The Education Fund's Art of Found Objects Exhibition and Charity Art Auction, we celebrate our children, their families, the schools they attend, and our community.

品德的培养是潜移默化的历程

UPSI功课压力大，BLOGGER内容不简单所以，今天一早独自到偏远的小镇去享用驰名的板面早餐。观察菜市的妇女。持家的先生。才知道华人的教育确实少了很多品格的修养。其实大多数的父母都知道，现在的社会人际关系及做事的态度最重要，而这两者都建立在人格上：有好的品格才会交到好的朋友，有敬业的态度才能做出大的事情。从人类的历史看起来，不论是什么时代，只要是人的社会，基本的核心价值都不曾改变：忠诚、正直、公平、正义还是做人的根本道理。

交到好的朋友在事业上才有帮手，而有好的态度才会交到好的朋友，做人态度其实是人际关系的根本，孔子说益者三友“友直，友谅，友多闻”，直、谅其实就是人的质量，只有多闻才是知识。

我常不了解父母亲为什么肯起早睡晚的赚钱，再开车接送孩子去上昂贵的补习班、才艺班，却没有花时间在教导孩子的品行上，这是舍本逐末，因为直接影响孩子成功的是他的人品，不是他的知识。现代知识翻新得太快，在学校学的，出了社会后早就用不到了。没有从小把孩子教好，孩子进了国中，智慧渐开、身体渐壮后，父母便觉管教不动，这根源在孩子小时候，父母没有把诚实、尊重、勇敢、相信、谦虚、毅力基本的做人道理教给他，时间都拿去补习拚分数，等他长大威权行不通就不服管教了。

品德是从小自生活中一点一滴培养出来的，要有健康快乐的孩子，每天打、骂、嘲笑、羞辱，叫孩子像狗一样趴在地上吃饭，用嘴把老师撕掉丢在地上的考卷捡起来是缘木求鱼。

我们究竟是用欣赏的眼光看待我们的孩子，还是用挑剔的眼光每天挑他的毛病。请不要再用“为他好”为借口，“激将法”对自信心尚未建立的孩子来说是残忍的行径。鼓励他，他会用笑容来回报你，他会努力不使你失望，你就达到教育他的目的。

站在十字路口的你， 还没作出选择。我知道你害怕承担后果。少了那份勇气，没有当年的冲动，多了几分忧虑，就是不能坚持到底。情感的挣扎，谁也无法当机立断，害怕抉择的责任。宗教信仰， 生活方式，待人处事，你不准自己有改变的机会。         
         思念是种方式，是种习惯。依赖是种模式，是种温存。人间莫过于最美最温暖的就是之间的思念和依赖。心病终须心药治，解铃还是系铃人。     留下的只不过是个脚印，风尘以后，想沙一样任由海浪带走一切，任由时间冲淡一切。只希望你记得我腼腆的脸孔。也许只能烙印在画纸而已。你可要时时感恩，顺境不足喜，逆境不足忧。对父母心存感恩，因为他们给予我们生命，让我们健康成长，他们的一次次牵扶下，让我自信的放飞理想。
    十月是感恩的季节，对师长心存感恩，因为他们给了我教诲，让我抛开无知，懂得思考，在学习的历程中实现自我。让我坚守的走在教育的岗位。对兄弟姐妹心存感恩，因为他们让我在这尘世间不再孤单，让我知道有人可以和我血脉相连。还要对朋友心存感恩，因为他们给了我友爱，让我在孤寂无助时倾诉、依赖，看到希望和阳光。你们的鼓励不至于让我恐慌。
    其实一路走来要感谢曾帮助过我的人，他们用暖暖的心灯让我发现生命是如此丰富而厚有。虽然家里倥偬，窘境无奈，可是我知道该怎样走下去。然而还要感谢肯接受我帮助的人，他们用淡淡的柔弱让我把这份善良延续。颂赞上帝给予的一切。我们留下的只不过个脚印，年光似鸟翩翩过，世事如棋局局新。 在末世的时代， 求主指教我们如何善用剩余的日子。 
 因为生命正快速飞逝，在世的时间何等短促，不由得你还在彷徨！



杏坛的岁月还长远呢。。

 这次的假期生活，使我感悟出了人生的真谛：理清了舍取的意义：

冷无 可 冷，重新再 冷！白天5度，傍晚 0 下5 度。每刻逼自己与气温战斗～

穿衣7 件，花半小时一层层的。。时间不会在原地等待，一旦错过，就意味着终身遗憾。

除了职业的进修，思绪的清晰，生活的历练，报告的整理。杏坛的岁月还长远呢。。

教师的人生，该有创新精神。年年春草绿，年年草不同。我才深深体会到，

爱岗敬业是创新型教师应具备的首要条件。

最佩服满老师的课堂设计，我感受她的认真，因为她总是要我们推想作者的想法和当时的情况。教学不再是简单的知识灌输、移植的过程，应当是学习主体(学生)和教育主体(教师，包括环境“人——环境”系统。学生将不再是知识的容器，而是自主知识的习得者。面对知识更新周期日益缩短的时代，教师必须彻底改变过去那种把教师知识的储藏和传授给学生的知识比为“一桶水”与“一杯水”的陈旧观念，而要努力使自己的大脑知识储量成为一条生生不息的河流，筛滤旧有，活化新知，积淀学养。一个教师，不在于他读了多少书和教了多少年书，而在于他用心读了多少书和教了多少书。用心教、创新教与重复教的效果有天渊之别。

用心的观察，我知道他们必定是常读书和常思考，所以才勇于和善于对自己的教育教学作出严格的反省和内省，既要不惮于正视自己之短，努力探究补救途径，更要擅于总结自己的或同行的成功经验，从中提炼出可供借鉴的精华，为理论的突破夯实根基。在此让我看见她们愿把追求完美的教学艺术作为一种人生目标，把自己生命的浪花融入这土地的教育教学改革的大潮之中.

我喜欢毛峰讲师和王纬导演以自己独特的讲解方式把复杂的理念与概述通过板书和亲自示范，具体的表达情意。毛讲师把中国历史一贯及通。所以让我对中华历史立了个主干。这样往后研读会更加明白了。王导演的专业示范不禁让我投入了充分的情感之外，也感受语言的优美。也亲自指正我们背诵的优秀诗文。

      剪纸，结艺和国画我都慢慢感兴趣。因为老师的语调和用心。我一点也不感到压力。 所以，从这里我发觉两位老师的鼓励对我非常重要。哪怕是回国后也得学习鼓励孩子。好好学习海淀区老师们专业的精神。很欣赏冯老师的太极扇，虽然她年纪轻轻，可是很有耐心。一个动作重复好几遍，直到教到我们老师会为此。不愧是国家一级运动员， 奥运教练之一。

海上生明月,天涯共此时.情人怨遥夜,竟夕起相思.

灭烛怜光满,披衣觉露滋.不堪盈手赠,还寝梦佳期。

生命中，不断的有人离开或进入。在茫茫人海中，不断地相遇，不断地分离，眼泪、快乐，直到筋疲力尽。当冬日的寒冷渐渐侵袭，伤痕是通向梦想的必由之路，值得每个勇敢走过的人骄傲。

 除了精彩可言 ，学习的时间虽然不长，但却收获不少。总的感觉是：教授水平高、知识面广，通过他们的讲解，开拓了自己的视野，更新了自己观念，对自己今后的工作、学习具有很强的指导意义。此外对我往后教学的路程奠下良好心态。真的很感激这里的每位老师的用心和安排。不但获益良多而且终身受用。谢谢。

仍然需要继续~~

我们总在希望中失去，又总在绝望中追求， 往昔浮华，如今只剩下一杯渐冷的清茶，
一本残缺的旧书，一叠褪色的照片，
于是明白，爱可以得到，也可以失去；
爱需要付出，也需要舍弃。无论得失，
只要心中藏着那份美好，生活便会继续，爱便会继续。

爱的【感觉】是温暖的。
